A Complete Upstairs Search Route
Upstairs offers another six hiding places, spread across the bedroom, study, dressing room, and bathroom. Its broad walls resemble downstairs, but furniture makes the local routes different. This walkthrough begins after a floor transfer and follows a full circuit. Use it to build coverage and orientation; it is not a measured speedrun route, and random hider assignment can end a round before you finish the whole circuit.
Settle your arrival before entering a room
Both transport methods arrive near the lower end of the corridor. After reaching upstairs, move north away from the pads before turning into a room. This gives you a clear starting point and avoids walking straight back onto the stairs while still holding a downward key. Check for 2F on the screen, then head into the dressing room through the lower-left opening. You can now concentrate on furniture instead of wondering whether the trip worked.
Begin with the dressing room on the lower left. Enter through the lower corridor opening and work around the wardrobe near the entrance side. The room contains more furniture than its two hiding places, so take a moment to identify the correct pair. The interactive wardrobe is toward the upper-left part of the room; the chest is near the lower-right part.
Clear the dressing room pair
Approach the wardrobe from the open floor below it and check it once. Then move across to the clear side of the chest. The table near the bottom-left corner and the additional wardrobe near the upper-right side are not extra spots. They can still block an attempted straight path. If movement stops, route around the object instead of assuming the game has frozen.
These two searches complete the dressing room. Keep the two names separate in your mental checklist: a wardrobe and a chest are not interchangeable just because both can contain a hider. You can use the checkmarks to confirm completion. If you are practicing on a low hider count and find nobody here, that is ordinary random placement rather than evidence that upstairs has been disabled.
Move through the bedroom and study
Use the opening in the left dividing wall to reach the bedroom. The large bed is on the left, with a wardrobe nearer the top-right part of the room. Approach the bed from its right-hand side rather than walking into its front. After checking it, move toward the wardrobe and read the prompt again. The two hiding places are close enough that another press from the same standing position may check the bed twice.
Leave through the upper corridor opening and enter the study opposite. Its only hiding place is the bookcase, which you approach from the clear floor below the shelf. The desk near the right wall and the sofa near the lower-left area are scenery for interaction purposes. Searching the bookcase completes the study. You do not need to inspect every piece of furniture to justify leaving the room.
Finish in the bathroom
Travel through the right horizontal wall opening into the bathroom. The large bath near the room's upper-left side blocks movement but does not accept a hiding action. Your actual target is the cabinet near the lower-right corner, which you reach from the open floor just above it. Complete that search, then return to the corridor through the lower opening if the round is still running.
A full upstairs sweep consists of dressing room wardrobe, dressing room chest, bedroom bed, bedroom wardrobe, study bookcase, and bathroom cabinet. If all twelve spots across both floors have truly been checked in a seeker round, no assigned hider can remain undiscovered. A timeout before that point is usually a route or interaction problem. Use the result's listed locations to identify exactly which room needs more practice, then repeat that section with a one-hider match and a clear room-completion checklist.
